Job summary An opportunity has arisen to appoint a Locum Consultant Cardiologist with specialist interest in Coronary Intervention to join our Cardiology team based at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals and University Hospitals of North Midlands. You will be supported by a team of junior doctors (of training and non-training grades), Specialist nurses, advanced practitioners, nurses, therapists, and in reach of specialists across the hospitals. The post involves working across two sites, providing general cardiology at Shrewsbury and Telford and coronary intervention at the University Hospitals of the North Midlands, (UHNM) with an on-call commitment on the primary PCI rota. This post brings the opportunity to work collaboratively between secondary and tertiary care, with two days per week spent on site at UHNM. There is an expectation that the post holder will support the joint site MDT for both cardiology ad cardiothoracic case and be integral to ongoing service developments between both sites.
