Specialist Clinical Fellow in General Medicine
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Senior Clinical Fellow [SCF] in General Medicine to join our well-established Medical team.
This is a Registrar position and applicants will be expected to deputise for senior Consultants. As such, applicants must be able to demonstrate substantive experience of working at a Registrar grade in order to apply.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate full completion of a 2-year Foundation Training programme. In addition, applicants must have at least 3 years of experience post Foundation Training programme in order to apply for this position.
Full GMC registration, with a licence to practice at the time of application, is essential.
The post will be based at our Wexham Park Hospital site, which is a modern District General Hospital within easy access of London. The successful candidate will also be expected to undertake duties at our other sites at Heatherwood and any other sites as requested.

Main duties of the job
The post is advertised as a SCF Registrar grade in General Medicine. However, the successful candidate will be expected to rotate within other sub-specialties. All posts are included in the full shift medical Registrar medical rota.

Job responsibilities
Applicants must have Parts 1 and 2 MRCP and two years of experience of Acute medical on-call, and be capable of leading ward rounds, the medical take and supervising Juniors performing QIPs and audits.

* An advanced and developing clinical capability in General Medicine care
* Ability to manage Acute and General Medical emergencies with experience in providing medical care for Adults
* Suitable for SPR (IMT3 + Level) working pattern
