Summary
NG Bailey Facilities Services is recruiting a Mobile Mechanical Technician to support our contracts in the Glasgow region, with occasional travel to Edinburgh and Aberdeen as needed.
This is a mobile role, so a valid UK driving licence is essential, as a company van will be provided.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance primarily for Mechanical Building Services Plant and Systems in line with programmes and SLAs to ensure compliance.
2. Maintain, fault-find, and repair mechanical plant according to standards and contract specifications.
3. Monitor and maintain domestic hot and cold-water services, with L8 awareness (domestic water systems).
4. Provide accurate reports of work carried out and time spent.
5. Manage site logbooks and records for designated sites.
6. Provide details for further works, including all necessary information for office action.
7. Support out-of-hours tasks such as FCUs and emergency light testing.
8. The role is Monday to Friday, 0800 - 1630, with a 1 in 5 call-out rota.
Requirements:
1. Recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship (preferred but not essential).
2. City and Guilds Qualification in Heating and Ventilation or Plumbing.
3. Mechanical City & Guilds, Part 1 and 2 or ‘A’ and ‘B’, BMS experience, HVAC certificates, or equivalent qualifications.
4. Experience with Mechanical Plant/Plumbing Building Services PPMs.
5. Valid driving licence.
