The University of Cambridge is seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to join our dynamic team based in the University Information Services (UIS). UIS is a centralised department within the University. We work collaboratively with colleagues in departments, colleges, and other institutions to provide a range of IT services to support the needs of all users at the University. The role holder will be at the heart of our efforts to ensure we deliver these services in an efficient and cost-effective manner, while adhering to the relevant financial processes and procedures. Key Responsibilities: Assist in managing financial transactions, including invoicing and expense processing. Maintain accurate financial records and support budget preparation and monitoring. Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders regarding financial queries. Contribute to financial reporting and analysis to support departmental objectives. What We're Looking For: Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with the Universities finance system (Oracle) would be beneficial. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively. Previous experience with finance or administration in an educational setting is preferred but not essential. Why Join Us?
