Right to live and work and a high level of security vetting is also required for this role.
Role Summary
This is a great opportunity for a Health Coach to join our dynamic and friendly team in London. In this role, you will help develop and deliver the Metropolitan Police wellbeing service outreach programme.
The Health Coach will support the Occupational Health Team in designing and delivering proactive health and well-being initiatives for client organisations. A particular focus of the role is to work with employees to improve their knowledge of, and confidence in, a range of wellbeing programmes, and supporting them in embedding behaviour and lifestyle changes. They will assist in managing, providing, and developing evidence-based health and wellbeing services. The role of the Health Coach whilst on site is to improve the employee experience whilst increasing their awareness of health and well-being by educating employees on topics surrounding physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being, both on a one-to-one and group basis.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Conduct industry-leading health assessments including blood pressure, fingertip blood sampling (glucose, cholesterol), body composition analysis, plus urinalysis and cardiovascular risk assessments where applicable and subject to specific training.
* Identify and review individual health risks associated with lifestyle choices, such as heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and mental health.
* Promote and encourage a healthy lifestyle through recommended pathways.
* Accurate data entry of results into our software with appropriate referral pathway guidance.
* Contribute to the Wellbeing Strategy for the client by working collaboratively with the Health and Safety and HR teams to develop and deliver a proactive health and wellbeing plan.
* Develop innovative and effective methods of delivering the health and well-being programme (e.g. on-site posture workshops, stress risk assessment training, monthly webinars).
* Target initiatives towards the specific challenges faced by client employees and issues identified (Stress/ Exercise/ Back Care/ Alcohol and Diet etc).
* Design and deliver presentations on a wide range of health and wellbeing topics.
* Design and deliver exercise classes.
* Design and deliver health and wellbeing related classes.
* Create content such as articles, presentations, videos, podcasts, and guides on a wide range of health and wellbeing topics.
* Ability to deliver confidently via a range of different mediums, e.g., online webinars, in-person seminars, presentations, one-to-one.
Who Are We Looking For?
* Qualification in a health-related subject e.g., medical/sports science, nutrition, sports psychology.
* Experience in health promotion, health screening, and consultations.
* Comfortable delivering 121 and group coaching sessions either face-to-face or via webinars.
* Subject matter expert in aspects of positive behaviour change e.g., nutrition, exercise, sleep.
