Coyle Personnel are looking for a Site Manager or Agent in the Northern Regions.
The main purpose of the Site Manager/Agent will be responsible for the management of the construction site in order to achieve required project delivery to the customers' objectives, while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact, and cost control. You will be responsible for the delivery of various projects, to the specified quality, the required programme, and to the maximum commercial performance. The successful candidate will work closely with the Contracts Manager, engineers, and surveyors to ensure that projects are completed in a safe manner whilst customer requirements and expectations are always maintained or exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Overall responsibility for the successful delivery of various projects in the Civils and Water sectors.
2. Deliver the work to the specified quality without defects.
3. When required, lead teams of Sub Agents, Engineers, and Foreman to deliver the work safely without environmental incidents, and to the specified quality.
4. Ensure production and implementation of Project Plans, RAMS, ITPs, as well as Waste Management Plans, when specified, in line with Company procedures.
5. Ensure the commercial performance of the contract is maximised.
6. Produce and manage the project construction programme as well as producing 2 weeks look ahead.
7. Produce procurement schedules and liaise with the procurement department to ensure sites have adequate resources to complete the tasks.
8. Undertake an ambassadorial role representing the business to customers, public, and official bodies.
9. Deliver end product to customer requirements and satisfaction.
10. Populate and manage the cost plan for the project.
11. Maximise project value.
12. Ensure detailed site diaries/records are completed.
13. Maintain commercial tension to drive out cost and challenge the status quo.
14. Endeavour to spot and highlight value engineering opportunities.
15. Produce good quality, accurate monthly reports for the Client and internally.
16. Chair weekly site meetings in line with Company procedures.

Person Specification:
The successful candidate will need considerable experience in Civil and Water sectors as well as an appreciation of Process Engineering, and likely to meet all of the following criteria;
Essential:
1. Considerable experience in Civil Engineering/Water and Utilities as a Site Agent for a contractor, delivering projects in a highly regulated environment.
2. Working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme and Risk Management, and cost control including forecasting, actual cost, and value reporting.
3. Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent (Desirable).
4. Good knowledge of specifications and testing regime relevant to general civil engineering.
5. Knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
6. CSCS (Site Manager).
7. SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely.
8. NRSWA Supervisor.
9. Lift Appointed Person.
10. Knowledge of Primavera P6 software.
11. Excellent communication, people, and team management skills.
12. Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems to conclusion.
13. Ability to demonstrate the right behaviours and lead the team to ensure the culture is in line with our Company values.
14. Ability to demonstrate the right behaviours and motivate and lead the team in line with the Company culture, ensuring high standards of compliance.
Desirable:
1. Temporary Works Co-ordinator.
2. Confined space training.
3. CEng MICE, or equivalent.
