We have one exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual with proven skills and experience in these areas to join the Asset Management and Programme Works team.
The role involves supervising a team of surveyors, leading and co-ordinating part of the investment service. The successful candidate will drive robust financial and project/contract management of investment work and effective liaison between all partners involved in delivering a customer-focused investment service.
We are looking for one person to lead on an area of programme delivery on site. The programmes of work will change but the commitment to effective programme management and positive outcomes for our tenants remains the same. This is a key role in the delivery of housing investment and you will be responsible for delivering programmes on time and within budget while maintaining quality and minimising disruption.
Attention to detail is key as is the ability to produce reports, commission services, and effectively manage external contractors. We are seeking candidates with a suitable building maintenance/construction qualification, such as HNC, with at least 2 years proven experience. You will be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of building surveying and maintenance based on significant practical experience in social housing at a supervisory level. You will also demonstrate relevant knowledge of Construction Contracts, Building Regulations, British Standards, CDM, and Domestic Energy Assessments.
Ideally, you will also have experience of working in cooperation with partners, networks, and stakeholders to achieve and maintain high professional standards including compliance with appropriate procedures and statutory requirements.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part-time, or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
