About the role: As the Instructor in Restaurant Services, you will provide a flexible and responsive approach to students in the training or work place environments and undertake skills development and competence assessment as required. To work as an integral part of the team where the overall aim will be the development and operation of students learning and assessment. Our Hospitality & Catering department is one of the UK's best culinary schools with excellent facilities including industrial kitchens, and a live restaurant which is open to the public. Responsibilities as our Instructor in Restaurant Services will include: Providing supervision, practical instruction and guidance in areas where skills training and practice takes place. Ensuring Health and Safety regulations are adhered to in the provision of a safe working environment, and that any maintenance issues of the practical working area, materials and equipment are reported to the relevant person. Carrying out restaurant's and area's inductions as required. Reporting on the conduct, progress and achievements of students and make recommendations to academic staff where appropriate. Being responsible for the day to day operations, including the use and maintenance of all restaurant resources. Developing and agreeing plans for learning and assessment with candidates including the identification of different needs and monitoring their progress. Contributing to the internal quality assurance process. Providing excellent customer care according to the quality standards in the College Restaurant.
