Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Carer to join our team in Broadstairs, United Kingdom. This will be a variety of waking nights and sleeping nights. This can vary from sleeping nights and waking nights. As a Night Carer, you will play a crucial role in providing essential support and care to our clients during nighttime hours, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
1. Offer support and reassurance to clients throughout the night
2. Assist with personal care tasks, including toileting and changing
3. Monitor clients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
4. Administer medication as prescribed and maintain accurate records
5. Respond promptly to any emergencies or calls for assistance
6. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
7. Provide emotional support and companionship to clients who may experience anxiety or restlessness during the night
8. Collaborate with day staff to ensure continuity of care
9. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge
Qualifications
10. Naturally caring and empathetic personality
11. Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients
12. Physical stamina to work night shifts and assist clients as needed
13. Ability to stay alert and responsive during night hours
14. Excellent observation skills and attention to detail
15. Basic first aid knowledge (training can be provided)
16. Good time management and organisational skills
17. Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and situations
18. Willingness to learn and develop new care skills
19. Previous experience in a care role is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided
20. Valid right to work in the United Kingdom
