Retail Area Manager
£46 – 52,000 + Co Car, Bonus, Expenses and Full Package
South West
The Person
So, you’ll probably already be working in retail and be field based but this will be a bigger job than the one you’re doing now. The company cares less about what industry you’re in right now – fast moving ideally, probably seasonal but nothing is set in stone and it’s more about what you bring as a person. You’ll have energy and a desire to make an impact; you’ll be naturally commercial and be used to setting high standards; you’ll believe that your people might one day be better than you and you’ll want to give them every chance to prove it. If you live within touching distance of the southern M5 corridor then that’d be perfect.
The Role
For a start, the company is opening quite a few new stores on your area to add to what’s already on patch so, yes, it’s an Area Managers position, the difference is it’s quite a big one. It’s also one with a lot of room to grow and a regional role is probably available in the medium term. You’ll already know the job obviously – deliver profitable performance through the empowerment of your management team, be commercial with product, offer great service and drive sales. There’s no surprises day to day but this business is both stable and growing. That’s rarer than it used to be in retail and it creates a different feeling in the business, one about development, growth, both personal and professional and optimism.
The Company
The business retails a great range of fashion led products and has built its reputation by offering a good quality at a readily accessible price point, ensuring consistent standards of customer care through the recruitment and training of passionate store teams and, above all, listening to its customers and adapting its proposition as times change. Its successful, financially rock solid and growing. What more could you ask for?
