Driver & Waste Management Operative Location: Northfleet Salary: GBP14.36 Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. Job type: Full-time, permanent Bridge Recruitment is helping one of our established clients recruit for an experienced Driver & Waste Management Operative to join their ever-expanding team. You will be reporting to the Operations Manager. Responsibilities of the Driver & Waste Management Operative: This role combines material delivery, waste disposal, and general maintenance and repair (make-safe) duties, aligned with the role's specific competencies and grading. The postholder will be responsible for driving company-owned tipper trucks equipped with fabricated cages to collect building materials from trade stores as instructed and delivering them to operatives at various job sites in a timely manner. They will also collect and dispose of building and general household waste from various locations. This position requires handywork experience, strong organisational, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, as well as a thorough understanding of construction materials, industry best practices, waste disposal regulations and a commitment to safety and compliance. Requirements of the Driver & Waste Management Operative: · Experience of operating tipper trucks and other heavy equipment. · Experience in driving and material handling · Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry heavy materials. · Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills. · Ability to effectively communicate ensuring politeness and professionalism at all times. · Continuous commitment to the Company Vision, Mission and focus on high quality and customer service. · Awareness of how individual goals support the Company goals. · Ability to see potential problems and work through solutions until resolution is reached, in all areas of the work. · Understanding of Health and Safety requirements. · Good Team player but also able and happy to work on own initiative. · Good timekeeper and flexible approach to work. · Ability and willingness to learn new skills and attend relevant training courses as and when required. · Must be self-motivated and positive. · Ability to consistently produce work of the highest standard with good attention to detail. · Must be prepared to participate in the training of apprentices and to assist the Company with its local employment initiatives. · Must possess a driving licence and be willing to travel to sites and work in areas outside of Kent when required.
