The focus is on the growth and retention of assets and new business flows. By demonstrating the Tax and Trust expertise that Quilter has and leveraging in depth knowledge of financial planning and tax & trust related technical matters the Field based Tax and Trust Specialist will; Build strong relationships with Regional Sales Development Managers across the UK (of which there are 4 – North, South, central & Quilter Financial Planning specific) Support UK Distribution teams through education and joint call/workshop/seminar activity to help with asset flows and retention Expectation of at least 3 days a week ‘out on the road’ Travel to other parts of the UK could be needed when required Focus on key account priorities and opportunity within the Wealth channel Work closely with QFP Network advisers, where appropriate with a focus on growing opportunities Develop lasting and enduring relationships with Financial Advisers within designated region through regular face to face contact/workshop and seminar activity Working in unison with tax & trusts team to utilise all resource and ensure focussed and efficient delivery of support Adhere to appropriate Risk and Governance Framework that must be embedded across entire business area and developed in line with best practice and regulatory requirements In conjunction with the Head of Tax and Trusts & Team – support UK Distribution teams with technical knowledge, sales ideas and planning activity in the area of taxation, trust and the use of bonds for prudent financial planning Assist the Tax & Trust Team in providing specialist technical support to key accounts, training, and education to UK Distribution and Financial Advisers, to support development of key adviser accounts, aligned with broader business and marketing objectives through a mixture of Face to Face, Workshops, Seminars and telephone based activity Simplify technical complexity and ensure that key messages are clear, relevant, and understood by UK Distribution and Financial Advisers. Deploy specialist technical knowledge to contribute ideas to business strategy and planning at marketing and national and regional sales team level Engagement with leading supporting firms across relevant territories Be coherent in the wider role both the Quilter Investment Platform Manage costs of own work and budgets within agreed limits. Support the wider Technical sales team where and when necessary Maintain strong relationships with Quilter’s stakeholders and wider key external customers – “act as eyes and ears in the market place” Cross-sell all Quilter’s propositions at every opportunity About You Ideally, full Chartered financial planning Status within CII/PFS route or progress plan towards or Fully STEP qualified. Technical Deep knowledge of the technical specialism for this role Excellent understanding of the long terms savings market and industry.
