Job purpose To provide a high standard of Physiotherapy care, responding promptly and fully to the needs of St Monica Trust residents and working proactively to improve their wellbeing, whilst also supporting colleagues through excellent team working. This is a professional role practicing within the guidance and legal framework of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations, fundamental standards of quality and safety and HCPC standards. This position reports to: Therapy Manager Responsible for: No direct line reports Key Results Comprehensive physiotherapy assessments of permanent and short-term residents of the care home and of residents of the independent living flats. Therapy treatments including exercise, functional rehabilitation, manual therapy, education, electrotherapy and advising on equipment. Residents-centred multidisciplinary team working. Reducing the risk of falls, leading rehabilitation, 24 hours posture management, and promoting movement, independence, and social engagement. Helping residents to manage their acute and long-term conditions. Working closely with other members of the Therapy Team, including other Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants. Providing formal supervision and teaching for more junior and non-qualified team members. Safely and appropriately delegating therapy tasks to therapy assistants Maintain accurate records necessary for the role. Taking exercise classes Communicate readily and effectively with residents, their families, colleagues, and other individuals from outside the organisation. Contribute to service development. Skills and Qualifications Essential BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy Member of CSP and registered with HCPC. Good IT skills.
