Salary Range: £26,642 (pro rata) FTE: 0.2 (7 hours/week) Contract Type: Fixed Term until 30 January 2028 Closing Date: 19/01/2025 The award-winning and highly successful University of Strathclyde Law Clinic is looking for a capable and committed administrator to work with a Case Supervisor who will assess whether potential clients fit the criteria for free legal advice and representation to members of the community who cannot afford a solicitor but who do not qualify for legal aid. The postholder will work in the Housing Dispute Resolution Project and will provide admin support on housing cases involving the private rented sector. The postholder will take lead on the best administrative systems for various tasks, e.g. keeping statistics and filing cases. There will be oral and written communication with clients, students, staff, external bodies and other stakeholders, as well as visitors to the Law Clinic. This post is office based, 7 hours per week, this can be worked over one day or two half days a week. We are looking for someone to start at the end of January 2025 or as early as possible. The post holder will work with our internal colleagues and our external stakeholders, often providing a first point of contact for the organisation. As part of the administration team, the postholder will contribute to how we continue to develop and deliver the administration and operations processes for our team, working in collaboration with colleagues to support the effective delivery of our services so that the organisation can meet our aims.
