Description [5:30 PM] Ross Woolhouse Systems Engineer – Public Sector Location: Remote We are looking for Systems Engineers to work closely with sales representatives across the Public Sector. The Systems Engineer's main mission will be to support the sales organization in all technical matters regarding, pre-sales, customer engagements, and ongoing technical client stakeholder relationships. You have a strong understanding, of current cyber security challenges, and can apply security concepts at a technical level. You can effectively translate, and accurately communicate cyber security and risk capabilities, to technical and non-technical stakeholders. You can respond to both customer and partner cyber security requirements. You can manage client and partner expectations, tailoring the solution(s), to address stakeholders’ requirements. With us you will • Present to both new and existing clients and partners on Fortinet’s cyber security portfolio. Articulating the benefits of our proposition and able to convey the target architecture to both technical and C-level stakeholders. • Accurately tailor our solutions to meet the client’s requirements via; face to face engagements, virtual meetings and written tenders. • Lead all technical aspects of a sales cycle with the Public Sector customers, from the initial RFIs, through to RFPs & RFQs when required. This includes the project management and active participation in POCs in partnership with the relevant teams both internally and within the customer and/or commercial partner. • Have the ability to listen and to understand the technical requirements of the customer, reading between the lines to build a solution which outperforms the competitor offering. • Be the primary technical point of contact for the customer(s) and partners in close collaboration with your sales partner. • Support the sales plan, for your vertical(s), by assisting the: fellow SEs, Team Leads, Account Managers and SEM. • Assist with Proof-of-Concepts that involve setup and configuration of Fortinet and associated technologies. • Collaborating with your peer SEs and Account Managers, by preparing and conducting product demonstrations, both virtual and face-to-face. • Supporting the sales opportunity by: white-boarding, discussing and presenting on our products and solutions, to customers and partners Apply if you • Have strong cyber security experience, understand the current threat landscape, and articulate the impact of vulnerabilities to technical and business decision makers. • Are currently or have previously worked in a pre-sales engineer role, managing end to end technical aspects of deals, through to technical closure. • Can interpret complex customers problems, transform them into a technical architecture, and articulate the benefits to business and technology stakeholders. • Can demonstrate your problem-solving skills and how this has impacted key wins within your current organisation. • Understand and can demonstrate your ability to build and maintain customer relationships, including your ability to effectively communicate technically to a range of both external and internal stakeholders. • Knowledge of UK Public Sector is useful but not mandatory. • Technology vendor background is useful but not mandatory.
