Working Pattern: Permanent / Full Time
As the Principal Engineer, you will:
* Have strong experience in Conceptual Study/FEED design, Detailed Design, Knowledge and Understanding of construction, Plant commissioning, operations and plant maintenance.
* Have strong experience performing Lay-out studies (Brownfield and Greenfield), Materials selection, Valve and Piping component specification, technical bid evaluations for Valves and Piping Long Lead items in an EPC environment or client role.
* Knowledge and understanding of Piping corrosion and erosion, Material standards, Material Mechanical testing and NDE.
* Strong knowledge of valve and piping components and relevant codes and standards (for manufacture and testing).
* Technically competent in own discipline and actively maintains own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development.
* Piping subject master and expected to perform the role of technical authority when delegated and interact with Client's TA when required.
* Strong knowledge of Piping discipline codes and standards (ISO, API, ASME, BSI, NACE). Knowledge of pipeline design codes (BSI PD8010) and wellhead (API 6A) would be preferable.
* Knowledge and understanding of UK statutory requirements such as pressure equipment regulation (PER), PED as Safety case regulations.
* Knowledge and understanding of Dimensional Control Survey / Cloud scan Survey techniques.
* Working knowledge and understanding of Piping stress/flexibility analysis basis. Managing interfaces with Pipe stress team for stress critical line and interpreting pipe Stress deliverables to produce a cost-effective and safe layout.
* Liaise closely with other disciplines to ensure all piping (Supplier and all other disciplines i.e., Process, instrument, Mechanical as well as safety) requirements are addressed in the design, layout, fabrication, construction, and commissioning.
* Provide value-adding knowledge to constructability reviews considering layout restrictions, ergonomics, safety, utilities, and maintainability.
