We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to work within the Occupational Health department in Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
The role is part of a wider admin team operating in a busy office environment, supporting employees and managers within the organisation to remain in and return to work.
Main duties of the job
Along with the team of OH secretaries, this role will provide full and comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the multidisciplinary Occupational Health Service.
The role will involve:
1. Responding to emails and answering telephone queries from employees, line managers, and other organisational staff members.
2. Preparation of notes for clinics.
3. Booking of appointments and data inputting.
4. Reception duties, requiring a friendly and outgoing nature and pleasant telephone manner.
Basic keyboard skills are essential, and training on the Occupational Health IT system, OPAS-G2, will be provided.
You will work as part of a team within a busy office environment, ensuring that the duties are undertaken efficiently and pleasantly, escalating any issues, concerns or progress to the Office Manager.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification
Qualifications/Knowledge
* 3 GCSE's or equivalent. Upon completion of qualification: NVQ II Administration or demonstrable experience. Knowledge and experience with computers and updated keyboard skills.
Experience
* Previous all-round office experience, e.g., working in a busy department and reception duties. Experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
* Experience working in the NHS environment and in an NHS Occupational Health service. Previous experience of data entry and knowledge of databases.
Aptitude and Abilities
* Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a challenging environment.
* Good communication and listening skills.
* Ability to prioritise own workload and maintain an excellent telephone manner.
* Ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
