What you’ll be doing:
* Supporting the business and completing the required tasks to ensure the efficient running of the store, that business objectives are achieved and a high level of service to our customers is maintained.
* Visibly demonstrating commitment to SHE performance and improvement by actively engaging with people to raise awareness of safe behaviours and attitudes.
* Undertaking all aspects of storekeeping to include issue, receipt, stocktaking, reconciliation & consolidation. Undertaking tasks in line with published procedures to ensure compliance and stock accuracy is maintained.
* Using initiative to resolve any customer requests and taking appropriate action to satisfy the requirement. Ensuring high priority work is actioned in a timely manner.
* Providing support to other staff, including on-the-job training and leading by example.
* Being motivated to undertake any task within safe level of competence. Keen to learn new skills. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Identifying opportunities for improvement in processes, working practices, and team efficiency.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Experience of Logistics within BAE Systems/ MoD or external industries.
* Extensive background within warehousing facility.
* Ability to learn and be competent in the use of multiple IT systems.
* Fork lifting skills /Driving licence required.

The BAE Warehouse Team:
You will be responsible for the smooth running of the store that ultimately receipts, issues, and does routine stock inventory for equipment that will be used to refit/refurbish warships of various sizes, in support of the Royal Navy and the MOD. You will be unloading and loading all types of vehicles at various loads.
You will be responsible for maintaining receipts and issues processed in a timely manner to ensure stock flows naturally to its natural place on board a ship.
