Working within the Landed Estates Team, in our Shrewsbury office, we act for over 65 families with landed estates across England and Wales, including around 500 trusts across the firm. Rural estates operate in a complex environment, often needing to balance managing a commercial estate with the stewardship and preservation of assets for future generations. Landowners and farmers continue to face a challenging economic background and market volatility along with changes in farming and sustainability policy. At the same time there are exciting opportunities in the sector. Our Landed Estates team works to form lasting relationships, seeking to understand the client’s business, goals and priorities and proactively advising on opportunities. We provide tailored accounts, tax compliance and advisory services to help achieve the goals, whilst liaising with other advisors.
Job purpose:
To provide service excellence through the non-technical coordination of operational assignments and administrative aspects of client delivery. To ensure workflows are distributed to meet internal and external deadlines.
Job involves but is not limited to:
* Maintain and update key client registers and internal database system, ensuring they remain up to date and reflect current workloads.
* Allocate and plan workloads on appropriate staff planners, updating and reacting to change in priorities as required.
* Contact clients regularly to ensure the timely receipt of information to support planned workloads.
* Support managers to ensure billing schedules are updated appropriately in line with planned workloads.
* Support managers in the review of Work in Progress, assisting in the completion of billing in line with firm procedures.
* Complete regulatory online filing in accordance with operational team management.
* Diary management.
* Manage Client documentation and engagement process including Money-laundering checks.
