An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at Bayview House Care Home in Thurso as a Social Care Worker. At Bayview, we put the residents at the heart of everything we do and each colleague within the care home plays a key role in how we support our residents.
The post is responsible for leading a team to support vulnerable adults in a residential setting and to contribute to the movement and treatment of clients to maximise their physical comfort.
You must have the ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative, follow instructions and possess good communication skills. You must also be able to respond constructively to unpredictable situations and able to cope under pressure.
The Social Care Worker (SCW) works as part of the multi-disciplinary team Previous experience in a social care setting is essential and ideally you should hold an SVQ 3 in Social Care, or as a minimum hold SVQ 2 with a willingness to achieve an SVQ3 in Social Care within 5 years of appointment to enable registration with the SSSC as a Practitioner in a Care Home Service of Adults.
This is a permanent part time post of 18.60 hours worked on rolling three-week rota. Enhancements are paid for weekend and out of hours work.
All training is provided by NHS Highland.
