If the answer is yes, please read As a Commercial Print Service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a range of Production products including cut sheet ink jet, continuous feed ink jet products, as well as pre and post equipment at customer sites. Your role will require you to diagnose faults, install equipment, both onsite and remotely whilst providing excellent customer service. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients experience minimal disruption to their production through the effective maintenance and repair of their Production Print equipment. You will have the responsibility of providing a service in first line trouble shooting (root cause of problems) on commercial print devices,working to strict service level agreements. - Your challenge is to achieve a high first time fix rate and minimum recalls with the most cost effective use of labour time and parts and toprovide customer product instruction and training. - Canon encourages you in signalling commercial opportunities to the sales and Marketing department. This is preferably done using the OSIS (Onsite, In sight) functionality provided via Laptop. - Being part of the team we encourage you to make frequent contributions to the ongoing development of the team and overall service performance,including assisting / coaching / mentoring Service Engineers (dependent on grade). Your Manager will provide you with the support and guidance so you can excel in your role. - Working closely with the customers and to be considerate of their business needs, ensure the maximum productivity is achieved, clearly highlightingwhen work is chargeable and seeking the correct authorisation to undertake the work. Updating relevant company databases as required - Using your excellent communication skills to communicate effectively to Canon’s customers and across internal Canon departments as required - For your safety we ask you must fully comply with company policies and Health & Safety Guidelines, including product safety checks. - Self Development is important at Canon and you will be encouraged to take further training to develop your skills in this role. What we ask Qualifications and Experience Required Required: - Proven experience as a field service engineer or in a similar role. - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. - Good understanding of IT/networking for device connectivity. - Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel. Preferred: - Certifications in electronics or related fields. - Experience with specific print brands or experience in a print related industry (e.g., HP, Ricoh, Xerox). Excellent communication and customer service skills.
