Job Title : Asset Data Analyst
Location : Durrington (Worthing), with occasional travel to operational sites.
Contract Type : Permanent - Hybrid – 1-3 days a week in the office
Hours : 37 hours a week
Salary : Up to £38,500 DOE

During a time of huge transformation at Southern Water, we are looking to improve data capture and work towards being a data-led organisation. New asset management software is in the process of being rolled out, and you will be joining the team at the beginning of this journey.
This job role is to develop new data and processes with regards to Assets and overall End to End Asset Management within Maximo. To engage with teams across the business to ensure we leverage the new capability provided by the new enterprise asset management system (EAM)
Job Overview
As Asset Data Analyst, you will develop new data and processes with regards to Assets and overall End to End Asset Management within our EAM. You will partner with teams across the business to ensure we leverage the new capability provided by the new EAM system.
You will be working to improve the data quality from operational sites and enabling operational staff to use the available software and enter data accurately. (Training, support for people)
This includes working with both operational site asset data and below ground infrastructure asset data along with stock assets. As well as analysing performance and quality data you will be helping develop processes where we will be welcoming your ideas for continuous improvement.
Daily responsibilities are to include:
1. Extracting data – Analysing data looking for anomalies in either data quality or asset performance, reoffending assets.
2. Cleansing and preparing data in support of new software releases in new areas and new capability.
3. Collaborating with operational team members to ensure data is captured correctly which includes support assistance and training in small group sessions either online or in person.
4. Working to ISO55001 standards, keeping abreast of changes and maintaining accreditation.
5. Work closely with the GIS team to create and maintain a “Below Ground” integrated asset and location standard and management of change process.
6. Play a leading role in development of, and driving usage of, Maximo asset related products, including Asset Data Manager, Asset Templates, Safety Plans and Condition Monitoring.
About You
You will be an experienced Data Analyst, with experience of asset management and dealing with data in this area including the use of a relevant asset management system, such as Maximo or Elipse.
Your success is reliant on you communicating effectively and building relationships with operational staff and business stakeholders all over our region.
Skills and experience needed:
7. Experienced Data Analyst in asset management.
8. Able to build relationships with internal stakeholders – all to director level
9. Experience with an asset management system such as Maximo or Elipse.
10. Knowledge of GIS.
11. Excellent communicator verbally, written and in presentations.
12. Great at Data Storytelling – end to end descriptions of asset lifecycles and interactions on the way to explain “why we need this” and delivering training to demonstrate “how we do it”.
13. Curious – interested in asking questions about what, how or why
14. Organised and capable of managing a single workstream and tasks.
15. Able to design and develop simple, end to end analytics products within frameworks.
