The Role
We are looking to recruit a Bed/Patient Flow Manager to join the Medicine Team at University Hospital Wishaw.
The successful candidate will work as an autonomous practitioner, and have responsibility for the day to day management and leadership of bed management services, including supervision and development of junior staff. The candidate will also provide clinical leadership related to effective bed management, including the delegation of key tasks and development of staff.
The Bed/Patient Flow Manager will support the effective placement of patients within the appropriate speciality and also provide support and guidance to staff in relation to sign posting specialist provision, in order to assist in discharge planning processes.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for assessment of care needs, the development of programmes of care and the implementation and evaluation of these programmes, ensuring the patient’s journey through the hospital delivers the required care.
The candidate will be required to contribute towards service developments and innovations within the service.

What we'll need you to bring
8. Registered Nurse with full NMC registration
9. Educated to/working towards/operating at degree level
10. Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of specialty including study days/courses/post graduate qualification
11. The post holder will possess excellent team working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative
12. Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
