Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Level 3 Childcare Practitioner to create a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with young children and have the ability to communicate effectively with both children and their families. This role requires experience in childcare settings, particularly with early childhood education, and the capability to manage various activities that promote children's development.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that foster learning and development.
* Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
* Plan and implement educational programmes that align with early childhood education standards.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised Preschool environment.
* Manage daily routines including meals, naps, and playtime.
* Assist colleagues with developing and maintaining good relationships with local schools, parents, and the community.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the childcare setting.
Requirements
* Strong communication skills to interact positively with children and parents.
* Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting.
* Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
* Leadership qualities to inspire confidence in both children and colleagues.
* Welsh language is preferred but not essential.
* Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* A genuine passion for childcare and the well-being of young children.
Hours of Work
Initially 20 hours with the potential of increasing to 30.
