Job summary he role of Student Community Public Health Practitioner is a development post building on existing knowledge, skills and competencies to achieve a higher level of practice resulting in an academic qualification as well as a recordable/registrable qualification with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. Main duties of the job Your duties and responsibilities will include (not limited to): The assessment and reassessment of care needs, whilst developing, implementing and evaluating programmes of care in conjunction with and under the supervision of the Practice Teacher/Mentor To regularly take part under supervision, in managing a corporate caseload, in order to develop the required managerial skills, including the allocation of work, supervision and support of junior staff. Delivering service activities and manage caseloads to ensure intended outcomes for clients and the Council are delivered within agreed service standards. Participate in and develop health promotion activities in line with Borough priorities. Identify and implement improvements in your own work area in order to deliver continuous service improvement and improved outcomes to clients. Liaise with clients to review service requirements and resolve problems. Keep up to date with changes in policy/legislation/contractual requirements in order to ensure service delivery is effective and complies with appropriate regulations. To respond effectively to the local population health needs through working within the team. To work within national and local policies for Safeguarding to identify vulnerable children and children in need of protection under the supervision of the Specialist Practice Teacher, and to contribute to interagency planning for children requiring statutory social services involvement.
