We are looking for a new Public Policy Manager to lead Bolt’s collaboration with policymakers, local authorities, and regulators in the UK&I region. You will join a team responsible for managing Bolt’s external relationships and providing good strategic advice on how we can grow within the UK&I complex regulatory environment while providing the best service for customers and partners. Our ultimate goal is to make cities for people, not cars, and we need your help to achieve this mission About the role As the Public Policy Manager, you will build and maintain relationships with politicians, local authorities, city officials, and regulators, win and maintain Bolt’s operating licenses, respond to consultations, carry out driver engagement activity, represent Bolt in industry forums, and commission research on shared mobility. This is an exciting and complex role in one of Bolt’s largest markets. Main tasks and responsibilities: Monitoring policy and regulatory developments that could impact Bolt’s business, and proactively developing and executing strategies to manage these risks and opportunities. Applying for and maintaining Bolt’s licenses to operate, including project managing applications, representing Bolt with regulatory and local authorities, and with city officials. Advising Bolt on taxi and private hire regulation in the UK&I, giving advice on how to comply with regulations while achieving its business objectives. Collaborating with teams across Bolt to ensure that features and products are fit for the UK&I market, including identifying opportunities to improve. Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including regulators, national and local government, driver forums, interest groups and the media. Advocating for Bolt’s interests with external stakeholders and working to build consensus to benefit Bolt and the wider industry. About you: You bring top-notch written and spoken communication in English. You possess 3 years’ experience in policymaking, regulation or regulatory affairs, and/or risk management, preferably from within a regulated industry, or with an awareness of local and devolved government in the UK&I. You have an understanding of the issues in taxi and private hire, or in wider transport innovation and micro-mobility, and previous experience of engaging with governments, local authorities, or regulators.
