Project Controller - MS Projects - Defence - Marine - Technology - Hybrid - 2 Stage Process - Up to 40,000 - South Wales - Progression Opportunities - PMO
Yolk Recruitment is looking for an experienced Project Controller to join a leading technology company whose services and technology help increase protection and sustainability across the world.
Responsibilities:
1. Deliver project controls on all projects through the application of consistent processes, methods, governance, and provision of guidance to the wider project team.
2. Apply best practice scheduling techniques to optimise schedules, identify and resolve conflicts, and assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, including identifying and tracking dependencies between projects.
3. Monitor and report on project progress, manage day-to-day accounting activities, and prepare financial forecasts.
4. Collate financial and management reports, dashboards, and track and analyse performance information.
5. Support audits of the projects.
6. Assist with compliance with contractual requirements such as project milestones and applications for payment.
7. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including actions, issues, risks logs, and documentation management checklists.
8. Raise purchase orders for project expenditure and track through the financial reporting process.
9. Develop strong working relationships with project managers, internal stakeholders, and delivery partners.
10. Contribute to the development of project-related processes, methods, tools, templates, and systems to support efficient project delivery.
11. Provide any additional administrative support required by the PM and PMO Manager.
Requirements:
1. Degree level education or relevant professional related qualification.
2. Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, working in an international environment.
3. Advanced user of MS Project, SharePoint, and MS Office Suite.
4. Knowledge of ERP systems, finance/controlling processes, and tools.
5. Ability to communicate and influence effectively with stakeholders of all levels (internally and externally).
