Protocol Education is supporting a mainstream school in Chalfont St Peter to appoint a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support a year 3 child with ASD, ADHD, Speech Difficulties and is struggling within a mainstream school environment on a one to one basis 4 days a week!

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

The role
Supporting a year 3 male pupil to thrive and remain focused and engaged with his learning
Understanding and adapting approach, implementing strategies and tecniques according to the needs of the child
Improve outcomes for this child by getting to know their needs (ASD, ADHD, Speech difficulties and SEMH)
Create a positive and safe environment to improve the childs emotional and mental well being in an environment they struggle with
Support Teacher to create adapted resources to enable this child to access their education and have equal opportunities to succeed
The Educator
You will be knowledgable and experienced having previously supported children with SEN needs
A good understanding of strategies and resources to support a child with ASD/ADHD
you will have a strong and resliant character and understand children with SEN needs can use behaviour to communicate how they are feeling or struggling
Experience de-escalating potential meltdowns and building a culture of positivity
Ability to develop strong relationships

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
