Description
We are looking for a Cable Assembler to join our clients team in the Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing industry. As a Cable Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling and manufacturing a variety of cables and wire harnesses according to specifications. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.
Responsibilities
1. Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions to perform cable assembly
2. Cut, strip, and terminate wires and cables
3. Assemble and solder connectors, terminals, and other components
4. Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure the cables meet the required specifications and standards
5. Test assembled cables and troubleshoot any issues
6. Maintain a clean and organized work area
7. Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
1. Proven experience in cable assembly or a related field
2. Knowledge of electrical assembly techniques and tools
3. Familiarity with reading engineering drawings and schematics
4. Ability to work with small, intricate components and assemblies
5. Basic computer skills
6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
7. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy components
8. Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
9. Good communication skills and ability to work as a part of a team
10. Certification in cable assembly or a related field is a plus
11. Knowledge of quality control processes and standards is a plus
12. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets
13. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to 13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
