To support the customer experience journey a new role has been created for a SharePoint Technical Implementation Manager to join its Programme Management Office (PMO) and Improvement Service.
The team sits within the Directorate of Customers, Digital and Improvement providing strategic advice and guidance along with delivery of programmes and projects, change management and continuous improvement activity across the Council. This role will have a matrix organisation structure to the IT and Digital team.
We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Technical Implementation Manager to lead on the full lifecycle implementation of M365 SharePoint and MS Teams including migrations and solution development. As a technical implementation manager you will have a clear understanding of project management methodologies, be reliable, confident, and proactive, with a flexible approach, be able to provide robust advice and guidance within this discipline, be able to embrace and drive change, be able to meet deadlines and communicate positively and effectively.
You will have considerable experience in a similar position within the IT sector, preferably within the public sector and be able to demonstrate successful experience of SharePoint Implementation.
The successful candidate will have experience of:
* Leading the implementation and migration of SharePoint and MS Teams solutions.
* Understanding the overall M365 capabilities and principles regarding the Microsoft Modern Architecture and associated elements such as information architecture and governance.
* Understanding SharePoint / SharePoint Online architectures, features, and capabilities.
* Managing and customising M365 solutions to meet client needs, configure security settings, SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, and workflows.
* Managing, customising and configuring MS Teams setup, including channels, tabs, and integrations.
* Managing the development of solution documentation (design & run) to a good standard.
* Gathering requirements from stakeholders and tailoring design solutions.
* Providing technical support and training to end-users and key roles within the IT and digital team.
The successful candidate will have recognised:
* Microsoft 365 Certified (e.g., Administrator Expert or Teams Administrator Associate).
