This role of Care Home Deputy Manager will be primarily concerned with providing support to the Registered Care Home Manager. The Deputy Care Home Manager will also aid the home to meet, and exceed, their targets. When needed, the Deputy Care Home Manager will assume the responsibilities of the manager should they be absent.
Duties and responsibilities of the Care Home Deputy Manager:
1. Assisting the home manager with the running of the home in alignment with the values of the care provider.
2. Supervision of staff.
3. Providing high quality direct care.
4. Assuming responsibility to the home manager relating to duties undertaken.
5. Building and maintaining relationships with staff, service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
Whenever the home manager is absent, you will assume responsibility for the following:
1. Management of staff organisation.
2. Responsibility for the home's medication systems and administration.
3. Ensure that the home is compliant with regulations whilst working with local authorities, different stakeholders, and social services.
Essential Criteria:
1. Strong knowledge of CQC and their regulations.
2. Deputy Care Home Manager experience.
3. NMC Registered Nurse.
