The Role
My client is seeking an experienced Sales Manager with an engineering background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of complex technical details and be capable of managing long-term proposals and client relationships.
This role is supported by my client's Process department, which designs the bespoke equipment and assists in client interactions. While the role is not entirely technical, the ability to understand complex details and work as part of a team to close sales is crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and understand the proposal process, tracking clients over several years to secure orders.
Handle bespoke equipment projects that require detailed client interaction and persistent follow-up.
Travel to meet clients as needed, maintaining and building strong relationships.
Collaborate closely with the Process department, which provides technical support and client-facing expertise.
Ensure all equipment, valued at millions of pounds, is handled with meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills.
Read and interpret Terms & Conditions effectively.
The Candidate
Proven experience in sales within an engineering or technical environment.
Background in heavy industry equipment is highly preferred.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to travel as required to meet clients and manage projects.
Confident, motivated, and highly organized.
Persistent and capable of managing long-term client relationships.
Hands-on approach and proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
Salary
The salary offered for this position is £40,000- £80,000 if a candidate can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
