About the Job
This Sous Chef role is based at RAF Wattisham, covering other RAF Sites around Ipswich. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the Kitchen and staff in the absence of the Head Chef.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure all kitchen staff are preparing and presenting quality food and all final products meet Company Standards.
* Maintain a clean and presentable kitchen environment, setting a positive example for your team.
* Communicate effectively with the Head Chef regarding stock levels and menu planning.
* Participate in recruitment processes as required, including interviews and trials for potential Second Chefs, Trainee Chefs, and Kitchen Porters.
Your Background
* You will have previous experience in a similar role, preferably with a background in hospitality or culinary arts.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to carry out manual handling tasks.
* Confident use of Microsoft Office and Outlook is also required.
