About the role A Content Strategist at Momentum is more than a talented writer. Yes, you need to have exceptional writing skills for both short and long-form copy. Yes, you need a creative streak so you can bring complex subjects to life in ways that will intrigue and excite a target audience; but you also need to be a consultant in the true sense of the word. Someone who wants to work closely with clients – get to know the key stakeholders, their marketing needs and build lasting relationships. This being a consultative role, you need to be comfortable overseeing projects from discovery to execution. That means leading calls and workshops with Sales and Marketing teams to understand their specific content strategy objectives. Clients come to Momentum for advice, so you also need to be confident in a brainstorming environment where you are expected to speak from a position of experience and expertise. When it comes to execution, your work will vary greatly from messaging and value proposition development through to outlines, drafting briefs, creating content frameworks, alongside drafting scripts, social media posts, blogs, web copy and longer-form content. This role calls for someone who is a self-starter, versatile, and ready to tackle anything as our business grows and evolves. Key accountabilities Strategy: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on project and content planning, ideation, messaging, framework development and delivery. Client facing: Present ideas and work to clients, discuss possible creative directions to help them achieve their goals, run workshops and interviews. Audit and plan: Review existing content from clients, identify gaps and opportunities, make recommendations for new assets and orchestration plans. Creative support: Work in conjunction with designers in the planning and execution phases of campaign and asset development and QC work when required. Content creation: Develop high-quality, engaging, and persuasive content for various marketing platforms, including digital, social media, long and short form articles, blogs, and video. Research and insights: Conduct research to understand industry trends, client needs, and the competitive landscape to inform content creation. Collaboration: Work closely with the consulting, design, and producer teams to efficiently create cohesive and effective content that meets the client need. Editing, QC, and proofreading: Review and edit content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to style guidelines. You’ll also review for quality. Does it meet the brief, does it deliver for the client, is it engaging? Skills Strategic thinking: Ability to understand client needs and translate them into a content program and a plan deliverables. Stakeholder management: Effectively engage and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure the success of content initiatives. Understanding of martech and AI: Knowledge of content management systems, use of AI in content creation, and martech engagement tools. Exceptional written communication: Ability to craft clear, engaging, and persuasive content tailored to various audiences and platforms. Content program design : Ability to creating a comprehensive plan outlining how content can be developed, managed, and used to achieve a client’s desired outcome. Brief writing : Demonstrate ability to accurately interpret and understand client briefs, ensuring all content aligns with the specified objectives, target audience, and key messages. Creativity : Ability to generate innovative ideas and approaches to content that align with client brands and objectives. Research proficiency : Strong research skills to gather relevant information and insights to inform content creation. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, clients, and stakeholders. Time management: Exceptional ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines. Problem solving: Ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions quickly. Experience At least 5 years’ experience working in similar role or in a consultative capacity within a consultancy, creative agency or related B2B industry. Desirable Knowledge : Familiarity with the B2B sector, particularly the areas of client-centric growth strategies, account-based marketing (ABM), and consultancy services. Technical : Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), AI tools for content creation, and other digital tools used in creation and distribution.
