Main duties of the job We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Catering Service Assistant to join our team at Stafford County Hospital. This part-time position involves working in a busy hospital environment, ensuring that high standards of food service are maintained across various wards and departments. Key Responsibilities: - Preparing and serving meals to patients, staff, and visitors in accordance with dietary requirements and health & safety standards. - Assisting with the preparation and organisation of food items, ensuring compliance with NHS guidelines. - Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas, including washing up and sanitising surfaces. - Taking and recording meal orders from patients, considering any specific dietary needs. - Delivering food to wards in a timely manner, ensuring it is served at the correct temperature. - Managing and replenishing stock levels, ensuring that all food items are stored correctly. - Liaising with healthcare staff to ensure that patients' dietary requirements are met.
