Operations Specialist (4 on 4 off, 2 earlies, 2 lates 7-7) - Gatwick Airport
To act as a focal point and provide continuity for contracted customers and Programme Managers. Responsibilities include:
1. Acting as the focal point for maintenance requests received from contracted customers, ensuring these demands are raised in a timely manner, identifying sources of supply, and arranging shipment in accordance with the contractual service level.
2. Highlighting any potential shortfalls and working on solutions with the supplier and airline/customer.
3. Assisting with the airline/customer daily operational demands process, fulfilling customer requests in accordance with the contractual service level.
4. Managing customer backlogs, ensuring delays are minimized while maintaining excellent communication with the customer, informing them of potential alternative solutions and disruptions of supply.
5. Investigating possible fulfillment of open demands in the case of a No stock situation, expediting Repair/Purchase Orders, and reviewing the system for alternatives.
6. Tendering the market for the most cost-efficient supply solution if the demand cannot be satisfied from the expedite process.
7. Following the demand through until shipping information has been provided by the freight forwarder and communicating the latest updates to the Airline.
8. Providing 360 feedback to the Operations Specialist Team Leader for future improvements and changes to enhance the operation.
9. Pro-actively engaging with allocated Programme and Operations managers to ensure implementation of all contractual requirements to guarantee customer satisfaction and contract performance.
