Senior Cybersecurity Lead required for a rapidly growing and large scale global organisation, based in Glasgow.
The Company:
The business is a national renewables organisation and they are growing their digital capabilities greatly. This is a new position, created in order to help to develop internal cyber protocols and improve them across the business.
Sitting within a wider team of roughly 120, you will report into the Head of Cyber and will be involved in making a number of "nitty gritty" decisions. You will be working across a widespread number of projects and these will all involve modernising and improving the Cyber environment.
The company look for some presence in office (1 or 2 days a week), but there is flex on the days.

The role:
This position is a brand new one, sitting amongst an ever-growing Cyber function. Reporting directly into the Head of Cyber Security for the business, this is a key priority for the company and one which needs to be right.
This is an individual contributor role, with strong Cyber Security knowledge across the area. There is a little flexibility where there is potential to manage a couple of other Cyber specialists, but this is not a given. You will not have any direct reports, however it is a leadership role from an experience and mentorship perspective, as well as the ability to shape the cyber landscape across the business.
You will often take the lead on key projects, however won't be the do'er and the hands-on person, "pushing the buttons". You will however need to be able to say "that fix won't work" and will likely come from a technical background. A sort of Principal level Cyber Security Engineer, across a global business of thousands of staff.
In terms of focus for the position, the three key areas are across Vulnerability Management, Pen Testing, Control Assurance as well as looking at modern tech and emerging threats. They need someone with enough knowhow in these areas and specialisms in them, without being a tech expert.
Key Skills and Experience:
* A number of years in security with a specific Cyber focus (7+ years)
* A strong Cyber focus, with knowledge across areas including: Vulnerability Management, Risk Management, Control Assurance, Penetration Testing, Emerging Threats, Assessing Technical Designs etc
* The ability to interact with a wide-range of business users, from super techy individuals to high-level board members
* The ability to design, implement, and manage complex security solutions to protect the company's systems, networks, and applications
* Able to develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
* Qualifications such as: CISSP, CISM, ISO27001, SOC2 etc beneficial
