The Role
Responsibilities
As an HR Consultant, you will have a varied role that includes both employment law advisory work and hands-on HR consultancy services. Your responsibilities will be:
1. Providing expert advice on employment law matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, redundancies, TUPE, discrimination, and unfair dismissal.
2. Drafting employment contracts, policies, and other key HR documents.
3. Chairing and managing formal HR processes, including disciplinaries, grievances, and redundancy consultations.
4. Delivering training sessions on key HR and employment law topics.
5. Supporting HR projects such as restructures, policy implementation, and workforce planning.
6. Ensuring compliance with UK employment law while offering commercially focused solutions.
Candidate Requirements
1. Significant experience in employment law advisory work and hands-on HR consultancy.
2. Strong understanding of UK employment law, HR best practices, and employee relations.
3. Experience in chairing disciplinaries, grievances, redundancies, and TUPE consultations.
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience training and advising senior leaders.
5. A commercially minded approach to problem-solving.
6. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple client matters.
