York Barbican is the largest entertainment venue in the area, attracting major touring concerts, comedy, sporting shows and corporate events. The venue hosts over 200 events and over 130,000 visitors each year. About the Role
We are looking for a Ticketing Supervisor to be an integral member of our Box Office Operations Team. This is an important role for us, you will lead your team ensuring we are fully prepared for all our exciting events.
No two days will be the same as and there will be so much for you to get involved in: liaising with promoters and the venue ticketing partners, supervising your team, preparing reports and supporting your colleagues across the venue.
Please Note: Regular evening and weekend working is required, and overtime is expected during the busy periods.

Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise casual team members and provide them with assistance and training,
* Provide accurate and timely ticket sales updates to promoters and designated venue personnel.
* Ensure that the ticket office is fully prepared on an event day including the collation of agent lists, checking seating, and testing entry scanners.
* Act as main liaison with the promoter rep on selected event days, agreeing final sales figures and ensuring that guest lists are managed correctly.
* Liaise with other departments, particularly Events, Finance, and Hospitality, providing information and insight about events and ticket sales.
* Respond to enquiries and complaints from customers in person and online.
We are looking for someone with:
* Good knowledge of the ticketing project cycle gained from a similar role or business – Desirable.
* Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
* Excellent organisation and planning skills.
* Demonstrable experience of building relationships and cross collaborating with teams.
* Proven IT experience including MS Office packages.
