Lochead Sandford Recruitment's client, a highly regarded, progressive well established Accountancy Firm seeks to recruit an experienced Accounts Senior for their busy, friendly office based in Oban. Hybrid 50% flexible working available if desired You will take responsibility for a portfolio of clients, working more autonomously involving all aspects of client bookkeeping using Xero, VAT return preparation and some management accounts production. In addition, regular client contact will be expected as well as the opportunity to provide client training on Xero and generally supporting the management team who encourage new ideas and process improvements when they arise. Key responsibilities · Managing own portfolio of varied clients · Ensuring smooth running of portfolio including: Managing the client experience from start to finish Liaising with client over timetable for work, data collection and progress Ensuring assignment is completed to agreed timetable and budget/costs Ensuring excellent communication exchange with clients and team Ensuring fees are issued promptly and WIP is managed within any criteria set Ensuring internal workflows are proactively managed Supporting and contributing to the management of the department, ie, business development, sales and marketing, quality, admin processes, resource planning Coaching and supporting team members This role will suit someone with several years experience gained from another Accountancy Firm, keen to work in the Oban area, with good client bookkeeping/accounts skills and cloud IT systems experience.
