About the Role As a Sports Assistant, you will play a vital role within our team, carrying out the day-to-day front of house operation of all Sports facilities and associated areas, providing indoor and outdoor activities and events for students, university staff, the local community, and high-performance athletes. This position offers the opportunity to learn and develop skills within a sporting environment alongside high-performance athletes, including those competing in the Olympics. Main Responsibilities Lifeguarding Setting up indoor and outdoor activities Setting up events Assisting with general enquiries from customers Responding to ad hoc requests for support You will also be involved in patrolling facilities, security, cleanliness, health and safety, and emergency procedures. Part of this role involves lifeguarding duties, and therefore, a lifeguarding (NPLQ) qualification is required, which can be obtained through a short course with the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK). Further Information This is a part-time role, working 15 hours per week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. A basic DBS check is required, and training will be provided.
