About Massey & Harris
Massey & Harris is a specialist in the design and manufacture of both standard and bespoke playground equipment, including high-quality stainless-steel slides.
We are currently seeking an individual for a central role to co-ordinate our workshop and related areas. The role will ensure the smooth running of internal manufacturing processes, meet quality despatch requirements, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
This is a physically demanding role that involves lifting and operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and cranes.
What We Offer
* Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8am – 5pm; Friday, 8am – 12:30pm.
* Contract: Long-term opportunity following a successful 3-month probationary period.

Role Outline
* Planning: Attend weekly planning meetings to discuss production priorities with the team.
* Quality: Collaborate with the Production Co-ordinator to monitor non-conformances, reduce quality issues, and enhance safety, health, and quality across the company.
* Incoming Goods: Manage the receipt, quality check, storage, and reserving of materials, as well as picking stock as required.
* Outgoing Goods: Conduct quality checks, package goods, handle loading, and manage the necessary paperwork for dispatch.
* Stock Control: Maintain stock levels, update records, and ensure accurate paperwork management.
* Health and Safety: Oversee housekeeping, manage RPE/PPE, and conduct workplace inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Additional Duties
* Fitter/Manufacturer: Manufacture and fit play equipment using hand tools; perform fitting and repairs on-site when necessary.
* Polishing: Polish stainless-steel components.
* Other Duties: Undertake any other tasks as required to ensure the smooth operation of the company.

* Experience/Training: Forklift Truck operation, crane operation, full UK driving licence.
