Autism Support
Location: Bradford
Daily Rate: £85-£100 (Experience dependent)
We are currently working alongside a primary school that specializes in supporting children with educational needs in the BD9 area of Bradford who are looking to employ several Special Needs Teaching Assistants with previous experience working with high-level Autism.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be required to support learners on a 1:1 basis in class and assist within small groups. The day-to-day support focuses not just on academic assistance but also on helping with social and behavioral needs.
The aim of this role is to ensure that both the social and learning aspects of education are made accessible for all learners, regardless of their needs or challenges.
Essential Requirements:
1. Previous SEN experience (Autism/Asperger's)
2. SEN TA and classroom support experience
3. Effective behavior management strategies and ability to help learners regulate their emotions and behavior
4. Experience working with verbal, pre-verbal, and non-verbal Autistic learners
Key Skills:
1. Enthusiastic, hard-working, energetic
2. Able to build meaningful relationships with both learners and staff
3. Effective communication skills within classroom support
