Reporting into Price and Promotions Manager
Job Purpose
As Senior Pricing and Promotions Analyst you’ll report to the Pricing and Promotions Manager and be responsible for analysing and reporting our pricing position within the market, and working with the wider Commercial team to support the planning and modelling of future price changes and investment, taking into account market position and trends. You’ll also be responsible for analysing promotional performance, working with the Commercial teams to ensure future promotions are based on sound analysis and previous success. You will work within a small team, but work cross functionally to support in the development of pricing and promotional analytics capabilities and tools.
Key responsibilities:
1. Deliver timely business updates on pricing performance and analysis of key drivers
2. Support the business to achieve price gap targets to key competitors through identification and communication of competitor pricing movements and opportunities within our range.
3. Sign off price changes and ensure governance to internal pricing rules.
4. Financial modelling of pricing scenarios to support PAH pricing decisions
5. Analysis of promotional performance and delivery of key insights to the wider business
6. Support Commercial teams and Trade planning to feed promotional analysis insights into future promotional plans.
7. Identification of additional improvements to promotional reporting to allow greater understanding of performance
8. Support the development of pricing analytics tools to drive continuous improvement
9. Regular reviews with 3rd Parties to drive performance, improve accuracy and reduce data errors.
Personal attributes and experience:
1. Strong Excel and analytics skills.
2. Ability to understand and interpret large data sets to draw meaningful conclusions and help shape recommendations.
3. Ability to interpret pricing and promotional performance and trials, analysing learnings to inform future decisions.
4. Ability to challenge more senior stakeholders. Strong collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally.
5. Ability to work in complex and ambiguous situations, forward thinking with a flexible approach, constantly seeking improvements.
6. A passionate team player with strong interpersonal skills, detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
7. You must be well organised and can prioritise your workload and you will have good interpersonal skills and confidence.
