Role Overview
The role is part of the PPP support to the Digital Asset Management (DAM) programme within Sellafield. The PPP support to DAM is an integrated project team with members from PPP and Sellafield’s asset management capability.
The DAM programme is a site-wide delivery improvement initiative supporting Sellafield’s enhancement needs. The programme aims to address issues with Sellafield’s asset management arrangements, with a goal of creating “An integrated information line of sight from the asset through to the enterprise that integrates activities across the asset lifecycle, removes the burden of paper-based work processes, and engages everyone in using modern digital technologies to inform decision-making”.
Responsibilities
Main duties include:
* Collaborate with the DAM Project Team, Sellafield Asset Management Capability, and ISO to develop digital asset management maturity, codebase, and toolsets.
* Develop code to enhance and interface with in-house products and custom applications.
* Integrate external systems to fit client networked solutions.
* Support prototypes and demonstrations.
* Manage solution implementation, liaising with partners and suppliers.
* Assess options for technical integration with solution architects.
* Implement microservices, ensuring system security and good interface design.
* Act in the best interests of the DAM Programme, demonstrating drive, flexibility, relationship-building, communication skills, and self-motivation.
Specific: The Developer produces solutions aligned with the DAM Project’s architecture.
Skills / ESSENTIAL
* Experience in Object-Oriented design.
* At least three years’ experience developing solutions within a highly secure environment.
* Experience with:
o Microsoft .NET/Java and Asset Management tools such as Hexagon j5, PEGA, IBM Maximo & SAP.
o Developing solutions in agile projects, including sprint backlog ratification, rapid prototyping, and deployment.
o Designing and delivering security-accredited solutions.
Experience in:
* Developing and deploying workflows from business processes using iBPM tools like Pega, Power Automate, or Nintex.
* REST API development and modeling, utilising C#.NET (standard or core), Java, JavaScript, HTML/XHTML, JSON, Python, CSS.
* Managing and monitoring REST APIs.
* Using MS Office tools for data analysis, documentation, and presentations.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex data clearly.
* Holding or capable of obtaining SC/SL security clearance.
Skills / DESIRABLE
* Experience in regulated sectors, preferably nuclear.
* Creating Systems Design Documentation.
* Experience with Low Code systems design and implementation.
