We are looking for a Data Governance Operations Analyst, who will play a meaningful role in supporting the organisation's data governance initiatives. This position includes ensuring the integrity, accessibility, and security of data across the organisation while facilitating compliance with data governance policies and best practices. You will be a key part of the Data Governance team & will collaborate with multiple teams across the business, including our Data Stewards network, to devise & support action plans to protect & increase trust in our data. What will be your core responsibilities? Policy Implementation: Drive the implementation of data governance policies and procedures, monitoring compliance and reporting on adherence. Data Risk & Quality Monitoring: Work with data/data system owners to perform regular data quality/risk assessments, identifying areas of risk & data discrepancies / inconsistencies & working with the owners to resolve. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to promote data governance awareness and best practices throughout the organisation. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data governance processes, standards, and procedures. Data Stewardship: Assist in the development and implementation of data stewardship practices, ensuring data quality and consistency across systems. Reporting & Analysis: Work with the Data Governance lead to develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key data governance metrics, presenting findings to stakeholders. Issue Resolution: Act as a point of contact for data governance-related queries, providing timely support and guidance. Training & Support: Assist in the creation and delivery of training programs for data governance tools and practices. What key skills do you need? Excellent analytical, problem solving, negotiation and organisational skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task, organise, prioritise, and meet deadlines. Ability to communicate the value of data governance activities to both business and technical stakeholders. Detail oriented and able to work easily with abstract concepts like data and metadata. Ability to analyse complex situations, distil concepts and present to stakeholders. Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Knowledge & some proficiency of data management tools, databases, and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau) Ability to interface with staff from diverse backgrounds across the company.
