Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Healthcare Assistant to join our Intensive Care Unit team with a competitive salary range on offer, up to £32,960 depending upon experience. This is a full time, permanent position would require the post holder to work up to 37.5 hours per week. This is a Monday-Sunday, Days/Nights/Weekends role with the following shift patterns: Monday to Sunday Long Days– 0800-2030 Monday to Sunday Nights – 2000-0830 Bank Holidays – 0800-2030 & 2000-0830 The role of the Healthcare Assistant in Intensive Care. Unit is to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide a safe, effective, efficient care for patients and relatives, while delivering key performance targets including assurance that the professional nursing practice and delivery of care is aligned to the Cleveland Clinic London mission and values. A hospital outreach service supports ward nurses and doctors who are caring for acutely ill inpatients, ensuring monitoring throughout their stay, as well as 2 Dialysis Bed Rooms for our patients’ privacy and comfort. What will your duties include? Develop competence in carrying out tasks such as taking and recording basic observations, assist patient with hygiene, nutritional requirements, perform tests such as urinalysis, Blood glucose etc, working in a manner that promotes privacy and dignity. Notify nursing caregivers of changes/concerns in patients’ condition. Recognise own limitations and request assistance as necessary. Use computer system (EPIC and Windows) to access and update patient records Participates effectively at the Quality improvements initiatives for the ward ensures that the Ward KPI’s are achieved and are aligned with CCL quality standards. Contribute to achieving quality and improvement KPIs. What we need from you? NVQ Level 3 or higher; Care Certificate. Demonstrates broad experience in the acute care field. Track record of achievement of objectives in present and past jobs in the clinical field. Requires critical thinking skills and the ability to work autonomously. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action and adapt to changes. What can we offer you?
