We are looking for Warehouse Team Leader £14.73 per hour Location Hammerstone Road, Gorton, Manchester M18 8BW Immediate start Warehouse and Team Leader experience required AM 0 6:00 to 14:00 or 14:00 to 22:00 Monday-Friday Full time Mach Recruitment is recruiting for a warehouse team leader to work in a large food production and distribution site in Gorton, Manchester. The role: To oversee the day-to-day efficient receipt, storage and despatch of raw materials and finished products across our on-site facility. To organise and lead a team of warehouse operatives who are responsible for servicing all production lines. Responsible for the health and safety of anyone working or visiting the warehouse and able to demonstrate full traceability, control and accuracy of all stock whilst adhering to food safety policies. As a Warehouse Team Leader you will be working within a food production environment and your duties will be as followed: Organising and leading a team for the relevant shift pattern. Manage time, attendance and train/development of team members Communicate with team on a regular basis to make them aware of priorities, targets and operational requirements Ensure comprehensive handovers are given to the following shift Ensure the delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production schedules/WMS system signals Manage the relationship with internal functions (Production/Technical/Supply Chain) as required to ensure a smooth operation across the business Liaise with suppliers and transport companies as and when required in a timely way Ensure inventories are accurate. Ensure stock movements are recorded accurately and stock managed correctly in rotation. Support organising and participate in stock takes at regular intervals Identify any systems improvements and make recommendations for change Where possible resolve any issues or problems which occur in the warehouse. Where appropriate elevate the issue to a more senior level Ensure staff comply to health, safely and environmental regulations and work safely to protect themselves and others in the warehouse environment. Complete regular risk assessments and contribute to near miss reporting to drive standards. Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to with no outstanding GMP issues Ensure that vehicles, machinery and equipment is well maintained and fit for purpose Maintain high standards of security in the warehouse Support to Assistant Warehouse Manager as and when required About you : As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will have the following skills and experience: Good awareness of health & safety, People focussed Structured, logical and organised Experience of WMS and best practice Available to start immediately and are looking for long term work Previous experience in food production environments essential Able to work full time, Hold a valid counterbalance license The Benefits Excellent Hourly Rates Weekly pay Full training provided Temp to perm opportunities Friendly environment Monday to Friday only Mach Recruitment is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
