Serco have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join our On and Off Boarding Hub team based at the Defence Academy in Shrivenham, Swindon. The Course Administration Management Department is currently working to deliver a transformation project to enhance service delivery, and the On and Off boarding Hub is an integral part of the transformation. The Lead Administrators have a key role in this project, involved in the promotion, planning and delivery across the Defence Academy.
Serco at the Defence Academy provides Facilities Management across all aspects of the site including Estates, Logistics, various Supporting Services, together with Cleaning, Catering and Waste Management through ESS.
Duties for the role:
1. Taking a pro- active role within the department and generally be fully conversant with course aims and programme.
2. Processing Course Members/Student arrival/departure from Shrivenham Station, ensuring associated registers are accurately maintained.
3. Course Administration support to our Embedded Course Administration Teams and Military customers
4. Maintenance of course communication and documents.
5. Communication with internal and external stakeholders
6. Processing the on and off boarding for Students
7. Updating students career profile with competencies at course completion
8. Liaising with external military and civilian institutions to gain relevant data.
9. After course work such as reporting and associated administrative tasks on various systems
10. Cross skilling to support across the wider team.
11. Mentoring and coaching of new starters
12. Management of Work Instructions
What you need to do the job:
13. GCSE’s (A-C) or equivalent in English and Maths.
14. Sound understanding of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
15. Able to use a variety of communication methods (spoken, written, behaviour).
16. Must be methodical, have proven organisational skills and able to work under pressure.
17. Problem solving skills are a must in this role.
18. Excellent customer service skills.
19. It is essential that the successful candidate is PC literate, with a good level of experience in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel.
20. You will have to gain enhanced clearance within the first 3 months of employment. Serco will arrange this on your behalf.
