The service provides the latest in evidence based NICE recommended Positive Behaviour Support and other psychological interventions to children, young people and their families experiencing emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties. You will be a highly motivated and innovative individual with extensive clinical experience of working with children and young people with emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties including challenging behaviour who have a diagnosis of moderate to severe and profound learning disability. You will have a significant impact on the delivery and development of services for this vulnerable client group, which involves representing the service at commissioning and strategic level with key agencies. Main duties of the job To be the clinical lead for the Swale CYPMHS. To lead on service development and delivery including research opportunities. To develop partnership working with all key agencies'. To ensure the service is delivering the most clinically effective interventions in line with current research and clinical guidelines. To ensure the service is routinely measuring clinical outcomes and delivering evidence-based practice and auditing the service delivered. To ensure staff team have relevant skills and CPD, including opportunities to further their experience and training for example CYP-IAPT courses. To promote the mental and emotional health of children, young people and families in the community through clinical interventions in the care pathway. To assess and develop plans of care to meet the complex needs of all young people referred to the Swale CYPMHS. To provide clinical leadership and specialist treatment and assessment within your professional sphere of expertise in the service and will be responsible for the extensive clinical supervision of clinicians. We are creating a modern service that fits with childrens lives in a way that best suits them.
